VolunteersVolunteers are vital to the ministry of East Texas Rescue Mission of Tyler.  We can significantly impact the lives of the destitute and homeless with the support of men, women and children who are willing to give of their time and talents.

Daily Volunteer opportunities available Sunday through Saturday are:
  • Cooking and/or serving meals, 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
  • Chapel Services, 6:00 p.m.

VolunteersVolunteer Opportunities Monday through Saturday:
  • Grading Bible lessons
  • Organizing food pantry
  • Sorting clothing donations
  • Light construction/maintenance

Volunteers are also needed every Thanksgiving and Christmas, as we offer Community Dinners on those days.  We begin preparing for these two weeks in advance of the event, which is usually held the day before Thanksgiving and on Thanksgiving Day, as well as the day before Christmas, and on Christmas Day.
